My sister and cousin were in this movie around 1940. It was taken at Betty
Virginia Park. Would like to find the exact date and does anyone have a
copy of this film?

I had a small role in this version, which was retitled "Kidnapped". It was
cast one night at the old Polonia Hall on 50th Street at Seventh Avenue,
and the main scenes were shot on a Saturday morning at Simmons Island,
fronting Lake Michigan about two blocks east of the Polonia Hall. The
musical scenes were shot later, and I wasn't a part of that. I believe the
film's sponsor was the Kenosha Theatre. There were two men at the casting,
along with a brusque, bossy woman who made it obvious she had no time for
niceties with the actors.
